ROUTES Feb 02, 2024 American Airlines Announces Three New Destinations From Dallas/Fort Worth, Including Brisbane American Airlines has announced three new international routes from its largest hub: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The airline will now serve destinations in Australia, Brazil, and Mexico that are especially popular during peak travel periods. The new nonstop routes will connect passengers in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex to Brisbane (BNE), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), and Veracruz (VER). ROUTES Jan 22, 2024 Air France Announces Paris-Phoenix Route to Accommodate High Demand Ahead of 2024 Summer Olympics Air France has announced plans to launch nonstop flights between Phoenix (PHX) and Paris (CDG) on May 23. The route aims to serve the increased demand for tourism to France ahead of Paris hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics from July 26 to August 11. NEWS Jan 11, 2024 British Airways Pilot Kidnapped and Tortured Outside Supermarket During Stopover in Johannesburg A British Airways pilot was kidnapped and tortured by a large group of criminals during a stopover in Johannesburg on January 10. The pilot was "shaken" by the attack after being forced to give up "thousands and thousands" of pounds to the attackers in exchange for his release.
